What would the lead up to summer be without a day spent picking some strawberries?

Take a drive out to the Strawberry Festival this weekend. The programme is filled with live music, including the headline act Jesse Glegg, kids’ activities, wine and craft-beer pairings and sporting events. Algoa FM will be broadcasting live from the festival and free entertainment such as dance and short shows will be there for your delight.

When: Saturday and Sunday 1-2 October, 9 am – 5 pm (Sat); 9 am – 4 pm (Sun)
Where: Redberry Farm, Geelhoutboom Road (off the R404), Blanco, George
Of note: Pre-enter for the strawberry-eating competition and buy tickets for the wine and beer tastings, toddler dash, MTB relay, trial run/walk and CrossFit competition beforehand through their website.
