These two ingredients are a match made in heaven, and this ginger and pineapple bake is an easy throw-together pud for a busy weekend.

Butter, to grease
2 tbsp sugar
½ tsp cinnamon
½ tsp ginger
½ tsp baking powder
200 ml low-fat milk
½ pineapple, peeled and thinly sliced
1. Preheat oven to 170°C and grease a 20 cm ovenproof dish.
2. Mix together the flour, sugar, spices and baking powder. Make a well in the centre and break in the eggs, whisking to combine. Whisk in the milk.
3. Pour the batter into the dish and arrange the pineapple slices on top.
4. Bake in the oven for 35–40 minutes, until the tart is puffed up and golden.
