In 2016, LANCEWOOD launched its first Cake-Off to find Mzansi’s best baker. Competitors had to present their best recipes using at least one of LANCEWOOD’s of products. Lizelle Solomon won the Cake-Off that year for her incredible summer berry swirl cheesecake recipe.

Due to its staggering success, the LANCEWOOD Cake-Off is back to find the absolute cream of the crop baker in South Africa. No matter whether its sweet or savoury, enter your favourite recipes including a LANCEWOOD product to stand a chance to be the best of the best in the baking world. This means walking away with a new title as Cake-Off champion, as well as an incredible all-expenses-paid trip to New York City worth R150 000.
Submissions have already opened, but there’s still time to enter before they close on Sunday, 20 May 2018. You can enter at www.lancewoodcakeoff.co.za by uploading your recipes and images of your master creations. Thereafter, the public will vote for their favourite dishes until 3 June 2018.
If your submission makes it to the top 3, you will be able to show off your talent in a live bake-off on The Expresso Show on 28 June 2018, where 3 culinary judges will oversee the event. You can expect to see cooking queen, Lorna Maseko, cookbook author and popular TV chef, Zola Nene and musician and chef, J’Something, heading the final decision.
