Giant triple chocolate chip cookies

Did you know that per gram, chocolate chips actually cost more than chocolate bars? So whenever a recipe calls for them, buy a slab of choccy instead, pop it into a ziploc bag and pound it with a rolling pin to make your own. Try it out to make our triple chocolate chip cookies!

MAKES 10 // COOKING TIME 30 min

INGREDIENTS
100g brown sugar
100g caster sugar
100g butter, at room temperature
225g flour
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla essence
140g milk chocolate, melted
85g white chocolate, chopped into chunks
85g dark chocolate chips

METHOD
1. Preheat oven to 180°C and line 2 baking trays with baking paper.
2. In a large bowl, cream together the brown sugar, caster sugar and butter with a wooden spoon. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well.
3. Gently press large handfuls of the cookie dough on to the baking trays, flattening to about 1½ cm thick.
4. Bake for 8–9 minutes, until golden and firm to the touch. Transfer to a wire rack to cool slightly. Serve warm.
