It’s time to indulge in the last of summer’s stone fruits by making these nectarine milkshakes for your guests (or just for you!) this weekend. If you are having people over, we recommend you get a bit fancy and serve them mini milkshakes as they arrive. Set up a table with a selection of nuts, sprinkles and fresh fruit for a milkshake buffet that will be a hit with kids and grown-ups alike, much like this recipe. Spike them some rum for the adults and add a bit of pineapple for some extra zing.
MAKES 4 // COOKING TIME 10 mins
6 nectarines, peeled and cubed
Juice of 2 lemons
2L vanilla ice cream
200 ml milk
1 tsp cinnamon
1. Use a stick blender to blend the nectarines and lemon juice.
2. Add ice cream and milk, and blend until thick and smooth. Stir in the cinnamon.
3. Pour milkshake into 4 glasses and serve immediately.
