Seeking some warm comfort this winter? This mulled white wine is perfect for celebrating special occasions and family lunches.
SERVES 6 // COOKING TIME 30 min
1¼ cups sugar
Zest and peel of 1 orange
3 star anise pods
5 cm ginger, sliced
750 ml white wine
1. Add all the ingredients, except the wine, to a heavy-based pot.
2. Heat gently until the sugar has dissolved, then bring to a boil.
3. Remove from the heat and whisk in the wine. Set aside to mull for 20 minutes. Remove the peel and spices.
4. When ready to serve, reheat the mulled wine, without boiling.
