Have some bread that’s about to go stale? Don’t let it go to waste! Rather use it to make homemade breadcrumbs that you can use in a variety of delicious home-cooked recipes!
MAKES 300 ml // COOKING TIME 1 hour
Leftover bread, sliced
1. Preheat oven to 150°C.
2. Place the bread on a baking tray.
3. Bake for 35–40 minutes until crispy. Remove and allow to cool completely.
4. In a food processor, blitz the cooled crispy bread until it turns into fine breadcrumbs.
5. Store in an airtight container in the freezer.
