These beautiful little berries are hot on trend in South Africa at the moment, and we know you’ve all seen them at your local supermarkets. The next time you’re there, grab a punnet and try out our flavourful gooseberry omelettes.
SERVES 2 // COOKING TIME 15 min
3 tbsp milk
½ cup gooseberries
3 tbsp yoghurt
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 tbsp sugar
1. Preheat the grill.
2. Whisk together the eggs and milk.
3. Melt a little butter in a pan. Pour in the egg mixture and cook until it is set on top.
4. Place under the grill until fully set and slightly puffed up.
5. Serve with the gooseberries, yoghurt, cinnamon and sugar.
