Skip the hot chocolate for a deliciously sweet and healthier alternative with this date-sweetened chai with coconut milk.
SERVES 4 // COOKING TIME 20 min
4 chai tea bags
2 cups boiling water
8 dates, pitted and torn, plus extra to serve
½ cup coconut milk
1. Steep the tea bags in boiling water for 5–8 minutes. Add the torn dates and set aside.
2. Heat the coconut milk in the microwave for 1–2 minutes, until scalding.
3. Remove the tea bags, divide the tea between 4 teacups, and top each one with some coconut milk.
4. Serve hot with extra dates.
