How to melt chocolate without a double boiler

You don’t need to put in all that effort of setting up a double boiler when there is a much easier way to get it done! Check out how to melt chocolate perfectly using nothing but your trusted microwave!

By Taryn Wilson

WHAT YOU NEED
2 chocolate slabs
Serrated knife
Microwave-safe glass bowl
Spatula

HOW IT’S MADE
1. Finely chop the chocolate slabs into small pieces with the serrated knife. Do not do this over a glass chopping board.
2. Transfer to a microwave-safe bowl.
3. Microwave the chocolate for 30 seconds and stir. Repeat until the chocolate is mostly melted with only a few pieces left. Fold until fully melted.
4. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before using.
