Self-confessed chocolate addict and experimental cook, Heather started her (official) foray into the food world over a year ago. It was when she would whip together a low-carb basil and goat’s cheese quiche for the office, or make her famous lemon meringue pie for hungry copy editors, that the food industry seemed to answer her chocolate-chip dreams of becoming a food editor. She now spends her days editing MyKitchen magazine and MyKitchen online, trying new (and sometimes weird) recipes in the kitchen, and eating. A lot. All the time.

Roxy is a newbie in the Mother City who is ready explore the ever-growing foodie world that is Cape Town. Although her passion for the written word drove her towards a degree in Linguistics, she has her food roots as a junior chef in a commercial Joburg kitchen. Making use of the skills from both walks of life, she now spends her time living the social media dream, writing features for MyKitchen magazine and developing new recipes just for the fun of it. She is also unable to resist a frozen margarita.
